Today, on the occasion of our wedding day, we have pre-ordered onion roast beef, which is second to none. The meat at its best, simply very, very good. My husband had a pumpkin soup beforehand and although I don't like cream soups, he had to share it with me. The taste of this soup was simply excellent. At the end we were given a delicious liqueur or whatever was requested. With this gesture it is always appreciated that you have visited the restaurant. We are always really happy about it, even if it doesn't matter. You feel like a guest all around and that's why we will definitely come back after the lockdown.

If you are in the area, be sure to visit. Seldom eaten so well. We were here with a professional chef and he gives 5 stars! An absolute pleasure from steak to deer.

We were 9 people including 3 children. The service was excellent and the food was really great. The chef knows his craft perfectly. Very cozy. Price-performance top. 👍👍👍

Simon cooks with a lot of imagination and ingeniously, everything fresh and yet reasonably priced. The service is also very friendly and familiar. Probably THE insider tip in the Allgäu, we hope that the new terrace will increase the enjoyment experience. Will definitely be back!

If more stars could be given, we would give them too. We like to eat good food, what we got on our plates far exceeded what the prices reveal. Price / performance unbeatable for the visitor. Here on vacation we visited many restaurants and we can say with absolute conviction that we are annoyed not to have been here every day because we paid as much elsewhere, that is clear !!!! was worse. Absolute recommendation. If you don't eat here, you're missing out!

Perfect food, best restaurant in Missen-Wilhams. We tested a few. Everything was TOP. Tender meat, fresh spaetzle, homemade sauce, the dessert a dream (chocolate cake with a liquid core, blueberry foam, buttermilk ice cream). Price very good for the great quality, pork fillet with oyster mushrooms, spaetzle “16.80 euros. Children can only get spaetzle with sauce. Or just a small schnitzel, which was also perfect! Price / performance perfect !!!!!! Very nice service. Advantage, the village playground is in front of the front door.

Very familiar restaurant in a great Allgäu ambience with delicious local dishes cooked with passion. In addition, a very sympathetic family service with a nice personality and courtesy. All around a great evening. Always my pleasure.

We went on vacation with the Schmelzenbach family for a few days. The family is super friendly and fulfills every wish. The dinner was excellent - an insider tip for anyone who wants to eat exceptionally on their Allgäu vacation! The rooms and breakfast are also made with love. We are very excited and would love to come back.

Very good, freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. The menu is small, but you get good, fresh quality from an excellent, very nice cook. The service is also very friendly and attentive. We would like to come again.

Wonderful fresh food. Whether salad, main course or dessert ... we were thoroughly impressed. A clear recommendation from us! However, a relatively long wait. You have to be prepared for it, especially with small children or very hungry. ;-)

Very good restaurant with an ambitious chef, everything is freshly cooked and prepared. This may take a little longer. For families with small children maybe too long. Open wines, 0.25 for a good 4.80 €. The first night I had noble goulash with cauliflower, the sauce and the meat a treat. On the second evening fried Zander on zucchini bed, also delicious. Make reservations at the weekend.

Very nice place with a great food and lovely staff

My fiance and I stayed in Wilhams-Missen for a week at the resort right up the street from this wonderful place. We ate there 3 different times and each time it was very tasty. We spoke very little German, however the cook/son of the owners quickly translated the menu over to English for us. His mother/server spoke English very well. She made suggestions and was very attentive to us. I really liked how on the 3rd night of eating there she just sat down with us and talked with us. Her husband also attempted to talk with us too in English. I spoke my broken German that I took in high school almost 20 years ago. On the 2nd night that we ate there I had asked if her son would be willing to make us a Christmas dinner that we could heat up in a microwave since we had to move to a different location up north that had only a partial kitchen. Oh... did he make the most fabulous Christmas meal for us. Reindeer stew to pour over spatzel and red cabbage. The cabbage was velvety on my tongue and so delicious! The stew and spatzel was wow... heavenly. They completely made our trip for us there. The last night we ate we actually tried the desert. Which I am sad to say I did not take a photo of.... There were 3 little cups. 1st had chocolate lava cake 2nd home made vanilla ice cream 3rd nutmeg whipped cream! He topped it off with a chocolate crisp that he sprinkled with blue pop rocks! It was such a surprise and delight of happiness that danced in my mouth and took me back to childhood! Along with your meal at the end came the appetif (after dinner drink) it was home made elderberry liquor. It was sweet and cold. But not too sweet or cold. It was always the perfect ending to each meal. She could have sent me home with a bottle and I would have paid $50+ since there is no way I will be able to find such a treat back here at home. But I did not ask... I will just have to go back to Germany from Portland, Oregon, USA... I know some people that will be heading to Bavaria in the fall and I will be sending them to this family run restaurant.

Beautiful place. Ate there a few times on our trip to Germany. Owners were so nice & helpful to us. Excellent food!
